In this blog I aim to post interesting snippets from my Family History research undertaken over the last 25 years on and off. My research covers South Lincolnshire, Peterborough, Suffolk, the Black Country and Angus, Scotland.
I am lucky enough to have many ancestors who have left a lot of paper trails, some of it I have still to find time to look at. Whilst I do have my tree online on Ancestry which contains some information it does not contain all of it as I feel that it is my research so I want control as to what I let out in the wild.
I will be focusing on the interesting people and families in my tree. Potentially I may start further blogs to cover specific families or individuals as I find my way round how this "blogging" works. I have an interesting and varied bunch of ancestors in my tree. I have had to go to some unusual sources to locate information from my research and one of the things I want to do is educate as well as inform so I will be also highlighting resources that I have used in the hope that it offers inspiration to others.
